Singapore Unveils $55,000 Child Support Package for Families

Singapore is offering families more money when they have a child.

The total support is almost S$70,000 for each child.

That is about US$55,150.

Families will not receive all the money at once.

The payments will be spread out until the child is 17 years old.

One S$10,000 payment comes when the child is born.

Another S$10,000 is saved to help pay for education later.

The government says the package will help families with the costs of raising children.
