SBI Announces 45-Minute UPI Outage With Timing Discrepancy

State Bank of India plans to perform maintenance on its UPI payment system on September 4, 2026.

During the maintenance, some customers may not be able to make regular UPI payments.

The two reports list different 45-minute time windows for the outage.

One says it will be from 12:30 a.m.

to 1:15 a.m., while the other says 12:15 a.m.

to 1:00 a.m.

SBI says the work could finish early.

People can use UPI Lite for small payments during the disruption.

UPI Lite allows payments up to ₹1,000 without entering a UPI PIN each time.

Customers can also use another payment method or complete urgent payments before the outage.
