Maharashtra Announces Rapid Pothole Repairs For Chakan Roads

Chakan has many busy industrial roads with potholes and traffic jams.

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde visited the area to inspect repairs.

Workers are using a material called a geopolymer techno-patch to fix potholes quickly, even during rainy weather.

Larger damaged parts of roads will be repaired with ready-made concrete panels.

The government says about 200 to 300 panels have already arrived.

These quick repairs are meant to provide immediate help, not be the final answer.

A longer-term plan includes better roads, drains, footpaths and streetlights.

Officials also plan to address waste disposal and water shortages in the industrial area.
