Shinde Orders Pothole-Free Roads Ahead Of Ganeshotsav In Maharashtra

In Maharashtra, a big festival called Ganeshotsav is coming soon.

Many people will walk through the streets carrying statues of Lord Ganesha.

The roads have holes called potholes that can be dangerous.

The Deputy Chief Minister, Eknath Shinde, told all city governments to fix the potholes quickly.

He wants the roads fixed before the festival starts.

He said to use new technology to fix them even during the rainy season.

City officials must check the roads themselves and share photos of the repairs.

There will be a team working 24 hours a day to fix roads during the festival.

No one is allowed to dig up roads during the festival.

Cities that do a good job will get awards.
