Hoichoi Unveils 25-Title Slate Featuring Satyajit Ray, Ramakrishna
Hoichoi is a Bengali streaming platform that is celebrating its 10th year.
It announced more than 25 new and returning shows and films.
One film is about filmmaker Satyajit Ray before he made a famous children’s movie.
Other projects bring back detectives Feluda and Eken Babu.
Some stories are mysteries, while others involve family secrets, curses or historical characters.
Hoichoi is also bringing back several popular series for new seasons.
Its first animated series will tell the life story of spiritual teacher Ramakrishna Paramahansa.
The platform also announced two television programs.
Hoichoi announced more than 25 films, series and television titles for its 10th anniversary.
Maharaja Tomare Selam, directed by Srijit Mukherji, portrays Satyajit Ray before he made Goopy Gyne Bagha Byne.
New entries include The Eken: Kerala-e Kurukshetra, Feludar Goyendagiri: Baksho Rawhoshyo and several original series.
Returning franchises include Birangana 2, Kuheli 2, Thakumar Jhuli 2 and Tansener Tanpura: Mohonbashi.
Hoichoi will debut Shri Ramkrishna, its first animated series, alongside two television titles.
