Several states agreed to build the long-delayed Kishau Multipurpose Project.

The agreement was signed in the presence of Union ministers Amit Shah and C R Patil.

The project will place a large dam on the Tons River.

The dam will store a lot of water for use by the states.

It will help irrigate farmland and produce clean electricity.

Delhi is expected to receive the biggest benefit from the project.

Haryana’s chief minister said the agreement is historic for his state.

Haryana will also receive water from the Renuka Ji and Lakhwar projects.
