July 2026: Indian Electric Two‑Wheeler Sales Surge 77%
In July 2026, India sold almost 200,000 electric scooters and bikes, a huge jump from last year.
TVS Motor sold the most, more than 50,000, and its share of the market grew to 27%.
Other big names like Bajaj Auto and Hero MotoCorp also sold many more electric models.
The number of electric vehicles on the road is now about 11% of all two‑wheelers.
Even though July sales were a little lower than June, the overall trend shows that more people are choosing electric bikes because they cost less to run and are good for the environment.

TVS Motor led the market with 52,035 registrations, up 121% YoY, capturing 27% market share.
Bajaj Auto and Ather Energy also posted double‑digit growth, with 43,137 and 28,540 units respectively.
Ola Electric’s sales fell 29% YoY, dropping to 13,085 units and 7% market share.
