Company and LLP registrations hit fiscal peaks despite August slowdown
More companies and LLPs were registered during the first five months of the fiscal year.
Company registrations reached 110,748 between April and August.
This was the highest number ever recorded for that period.
LLP registrations also rose to nearly 48,972.
Their number increased by 31.1% compared with the same period previously.
However, company registrations grew more slowly in August than in July.
August growth was 6.7%, while July growth was 49.5%.
This means registrations were still increasing, but at a slower pace in August.
Company incorporations rose 12% year-on-year to 110,748 between April and August.
The April-August company incorporation total was the highest ever for that period.
LLP registrations increased 31.1% year-on-year to nearly 48,972 during the same period.
Company incorporation growth slowed to 6.7% in August from 49.5% in July.
August growth remained above May’s 5.5% increase and April’s 8.6% decline.
