Corporate Compliance Relief Scheme Extended to 15 September
The government has given companies extra time to finish certain paperwork.
The deadline is now 15 September.
This is the second time the deadline has been extended.
Companies can submit late financial statements and annual returns with much smaller penalties.
They pay only 10% of the usual penalties under the scheme.
Inactive companies can apply for dormant status at half the usual fee.
Companies seeking closure can pay one-quarter of the applicable filing fee.
The extension came after requests from stakeholders and problems following a data-centre fire.
The scheme is intended to improve company records and help inactive businesses close or become dormant.
The Ministry of Corporate Affairs extended the Companies Compliance Facilitation Scheme, 2026, until 15 September.
The 15-day extension, announced on 31 August, is the scheme’s second extension after an earlier deadline of 31 August.
Companies can file pending annual returns and financial statements by paying 10% of the usual penalties.
Eligible companies can obtain dormant status by paying half the usual fee and pursue closure by paying one-quarter of the applicable filing fee.
The extension followed stakeholder representations and disruptions linked to restoration work after a 5 June data-centre fire.
