India’s small, unincorporated businesses grew during April–June 2026.

The estimated number of unincorporated non-agricultural establishments rose 9.2% to 8.67 crore in April–June 2026.
Employment increased 6.55% year-on-year to 13.70 crore workers from 12.81 crore.
Services led workforce growth, recording an increase of more than 21%.
Women represented more than 30% of employment, while working owners made up 62.38% of workers.
Urban employment grew over 12%, and about 80% of establishments used cashless transactions.
