Maheshwari Chauhan Turns Paris Olympic Lessons Into Asian Games Drive

Maheshwari Chauhan is a sportsperson from India who does shooting, a sport where people use guns to hit tiny flying targets.

In her event, called skeet, the targets are clay discs that get thrown high into the air.

Maheshwari went to the Olympic Games in Paris in 2024 with her teammate Anantjeet Singh Naruka.

They almost won a medal, but they came in fourth place, just one point away from the bronze.

Even without a medal, they made history as the first Indian pair to reach the final of an Olympic skeet event.

Maheshwari says the Olympics made her more confident and motivated.

Now she is getting ready for the Asian Games, a big sports event that will take place in Japan.

She is practicing in New Delhi with eleven other shooters in a special training camp.

Her plan is to enjoy herself, stay focused, and use what she learned in Paris to do her best.
