Manipur CM urges all communities to safeguard state's territorial integrity
The leader of a place in India called Manipur gave an important speech on a Sunday.
He told people from different groups — the Meitei, the Naga, and the Kuki — to work together like one big team.
He said the whole state of Manipur is stronger when everyone helps each other.
He reminded everyone that a long time ago, in 1947-48, Manipur was the first place in Southeast Asia to hold its own election.
He talked about a trip he took to a hilly area called Kangpokpi, where people welcomed him happily.
He said he thinks a few people are trying to make different groups fight with each other.
He also spoke about a sad explosion in a village that killed two innocent children, showing that some people do not want peace.

He said his Saturday visit to Kuki-Zo-inhabited Kangpokpi district received a warm welcome and no one appears to intend a highway blockade.
Citing a blast in Tronglaobi village that killed two children, the CM said some people do not want peace, while BJP leaders praised his leadership in moving the state toward peace and development.
