Montra Electric Expands Internationally with Super Auto Exports to Nepal
Montra Electric is a company in India that makes electric vehicles for moving goods and people.
They have started selling their small electric three-wheeler called the Super Auto in other countries.
The first shipments went to Nepal and Tanzania.
They also have confirmed orders from countries in West Africa.
The Super Auto runs on a battery instead of petrol or diesel.
It can travel about 150 kilometres before it needs to be charged again.
Charging takes about four and a half hours.
In Nepal, the Super Auto costs 8,64,900 Nepalese rupees.
Nepal is a good place for it because electricity is affordable and comes from hydropower.
The company may sell the Super Auto in more countries in Asia and Africa in the future.
Montra Electric has launched international expansion with its Super Auto platform across Nepal, Tanzania, and West Africa.
The first export consignment was flagged off to Nepal, alongside shipments to Tanzania.
The company says it has confirmed orders across West Africa, signalling demand for sustainable mobility in emerging markets.
The Super Auto offers a 150 km driving range, a 55 kmph top speed, and a 4.5-hour charging time with its 9 kWh battery pack.
Montra Electric is evaluating further markets across Asia, Africa, and other emerging regions with supportive EV policies.
