Odisha Governor Urges MSMEs to Shift Towards Electric Vehicles

A very important leader in the Indian state of Odisha, called the Governor, gave a speech to small and medium business owners.

He asked them to think about using electric vehicles instead of cars and trucks that burn fuel.

He told them his own official cars are already electric.

He also asked them to put solar panels on their roofs to make clean energy from the sun.

The Governor said using electric power can help India buy less oil from other countries.

This is important because tensions in West Asia make buying oil risky and expensive.

He also wants businesses to grow in villages and tribal areas, not just in big cities.

That way, young people, women and artisans can find good jobs.

He said development should be measured by the opportunities created for people, not just the size of industries.
