Many people in Bihar want to become teachers in schools and colleges, but first they have to pass a big exam called BPSC TRE-4.

The government has not yet announced when this exam will happen, and people are upset.

So teachers and students gathered in a place called Gardanibagh in the city of Patna to protest.

They told the government it must announce the exam within 24 hours.

If it does not, they say they will go to the education minister's house and ask him to step down from his job.

One protester named Kumud Patel has stopped eating for 15 days to show how serious the situation is.

Another leader, Dilip Kumar, said he will also stop eating if nothing happens within three days.

The protesters want the exam to be fair and single-tier, with cheaters and corrupt people punished.

They also want new rules so that professors and PhD holders can be hired more easily, including a domicile policy for Bihar.

Most of all, they want the government to listen and hold a meaningful dialogue to fix Bihar's education system.
