Bihar Students Announce Hunger Strike, Demand Education Minister's Resignation
Bihar Students To Go On Hunger Strike From August 18, Demand Education Minister's Resignation · NDTV

Students in Bihar are upset because they want to become teachers, but the government has not announced a big teacher recruitment exam called TRE 4.

The person in charge of education in Bihar, Mithilesh Tiwari, promised the exam notice would be released in July.

July came and went, and now even half of August has passed without any notice.

So the students decided to protest.

A student leader named Dilip said they will start a hunger strike on August 18 at a place called Gardanibagh.

A hunger strike means they will stop eating to show how serious they are.

They also want the education minister to quit his job and for exams to be fair and clear.

If the government does not listen within five days, they plan to march to the Legislative Assembly.

Meanwhile, the government has asked the Bihar Public Service Commission to hire more than 32,000 teachers, but another exam may cause more delay.

The students just want clear and fair exams so they can get jobs.
