Thane Records 17,092 Ganesh, Gauri Idol Immersions on Sixth Day
On the sixth day of the festival, people in Thane immersed idols of Lord Ganesh and Goddess Gauri.
Immersion means placing the idols in water as part of the farewell ceremony.
In total, 17,092 idols were immersed.
This included 16,053 Ganesh idols and 1,039 Gauri idols.
