Andhra Pradesh tested evidence from thousands of police cases in its forensic laboratories.

It finished 92.5% of the cases it received in 2025.

This gave the state the second-best completion rate in India, just behind Karnataka.

Scientists are now completing some important tests much faster than before.

New tools also helped them find DNA and blood groups more accurately.

A new forensic laboratory opened in Rajamahendravaram to serve several districts.

The state is also building a larger headquarters and improving other laboratories.

Special cybercrime teams have been created in every district to investigate online crimes.

DNA detection increased from 85% to 97%, while blood-group detection increased from 52% to 85.77%.
New headquarters
The APFSL headquarters at Thulluru in Amaravati covers 1.80 lakh square feet, costs an estimated ₹100 crore and is scheduled for completion by March 2027.
Cybercrime staffing
Twenty-member Cyber Liaison and Investigation Cells were formed in all 28 districts.
