Andhra Pradesh Ranks Second Nationwide in Forensic Report Disposal
Andhra Pradesh tested evidence from thousands of police cases in its forensic laboratories.

Scientists are now completing some important tests much faster than before.

Andhra Pradesh disposed of 92.5% of 25,602 FSL cases in 2025, ranking second nationally behind Karnataka.
The state reduced turnaround times for murder and crimes-against-women cases from 15 days to seven days, while NDPS cases now take 14 days.
New forensic technologies raised DNA detection from 85% to 97% and blood-group detection from 52% to 85.77%.
A new regional FSL opened in Rajamahendravaram with biology, serology and toxicology sections and an annual capacity of about 2,300 cases.
The state is building a ₹100-crore FSL headquarters and creating or upgrading regional laboratories while deploying cybercrime teams across all 28 districts.
