Andhra Pradesh seeks central support for sports infrastructure
The state minister of Andhra Pradesh met with the central minister for youth affairs and sports to ask for more money and support to build new sports places.
The state minister thanked the central minister for giving Rs 75 crore for sports development.
He asked for more money to build special sports centres for different sports like athletics, archery, and hockey.
He also asked for money to build a new football stadium and a sports complex in different places.

Andhra Pradesh's Minister for Transport and Youth Services and Sports, Mandipalli Ramprasad Reddy, met with Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports, Mansukh Mandaviya, to seek central support for sports infrastructure development.
The state government has requested the establishment of National Centres of Excellence for athletics, archery, weightlifting, hockey, and shooting.
The state minister sought the sanction of one additional District-Level Khelo India Centre for each district, in addition to the 26 already functioning.
The state government has proposed 56 sports infrastructure projects with an estimated cost of Rs 675.36 crore, in accordance with Khelo India guidelines.
