Police organised a run in Northeast Delhi.

Sandeep Lamba said similar Sunday runs are held regularly under the Fit India initiative.

In Patna, leaders joined a programme called Run for Fitness and Fit Digha, Hit Digha.

The organisers wanted people, especially young people, to care more about their health.

National Sports Day is celebrated every year on August 29.

It marks the birthday of famous hockey player Major Dhyan Chand.

The day also promotes sports and physical activity across India.
