Varla Ramaiah Sworn In As Andhra Pradesh Governor-Quota MLC
Varla Ramaiah is now a member of Andhra Pradesh’s Legislative Council.
He belongs to the Telugu Desam party and is one of its senior leaders.
He took his oath on Wednesday in Vijayawada.
Council Chairman Koyye Moshen Raju administered the oath.
Ramaiah was chosen through the Governor’s quota.
His appointment was officially announced shortly before he was sworn in.
Another Telugu Desam leader, Dalavayi Venkata Rama Devi, was nominated with him.
However, she has not taken her oath yet.
Senior Telugu Desam leader and politburo member Varla Ramaiah was sworn in as an Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council member on Wednesday.
Council Chairman Koyye Moshen Raju administered Ramaiah’s oath at 12:49 p.m. in Vijayawada.
Ramaiah took the oath shortly after his Governor-quota nomination was formally notified.
The Telugu Desam nominated Ramaiah and Dalavayi Venkata Rama Devi for the two Governor-quota Council positions on Tuesday.
Rama Devi has not yet taken her oath; reports refer to her as both Dalavai Ramadevi and Dalavayi Venkata Rama Devi.
