New Andhra housing corporation chief urges officials to accelerate construction
A new boss started work at the government office that builds houses in Andhra Pradesh.
Her name is Hepsiba Korlapati.
She is in charge of making sure houses for poor families get finished.
She met with the people who work there and asked them to work together.
Houses that are already being built must be completed on time.
She told them about the Chief Minister's promise to give every poor family a strong, safe house.
She also asked engineers to check the building sites often.
She said the families getting the houses should be encouraged to finish them quickly.
Her main goal is to make sure no poor family is left without a proper home.
Hepsiba Korlapati assumed charge as in-charge Managing Director of the Andhra Pradesh State Housing Corporation from Arun Babu, who was transferred.
She urged officials and employees to work collectively to complete all houses under construction within the stipulated time.
Korlapati said Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu was committed to ensuring a pucca house for every poor family in the State.
She directed officials to encourage beneficiaries to complete houses on time and told engineering officials to regularly inspect layouts and monitor construction progress.
A review meeting on the corporation's activities was attended by Superintending Engineer Krishnaiah and General Managers Govinda Rao and Leela Rani.
