MMC chief directs focus on sanitation workers' attendance systems
A city official in Hyderabad visited some neighborhoods to check how well the streets are being kept clean.
His name is T Vinay Krishna Reddy and he is the commissioner of the Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation.
He looked at a system where workers check in using their faces with a special camera when they start work.
This makes sure workers really show up for their jobs.
He also asked workers to collect garbage from every house, going door to door.
He checked lakes where mosquitoes like to breed and asked workers to get rid of them.
Mosquitoes can spread diseases, so stopping them is important.
He found that a hospital was letting dirty sewage water flow onto the main road, which is against the rules.
He told officials to fix that problem right away.
He also wants old, dead trees replaced with new ones so the area stays green and beautiful.
Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation Commissioner T Vinay Krishna Reddy directed officials to strictly implement the attendance system for sanitation workers during field inspections in HMT Nagar on Thursday.
He reviewed the QR code-based attendance registration system for clean autos and the Face Recognition System (FRS) used for sanitation workers' attendance.
He reviewed Anti Larva Operations at HMT Nagar Cheruvu and Errakunta Cheruvu and suggested steps to completely eradicate mosquito breeding centres.
He noted that sewage from Prasad Hospital in Durganagar was being illegally discharged onto the main road and ordered immediate action by the IALA Commissioner.
He directed officials to remove old dead trees and plant new ones as part of Vana Mahotsavam programmes under Urban Biodiversity (UBD) at Singam Cheruvu Thanda.
