Two Srinagar Jail Escapees Arrested After Rajasthan Manhunt
Two prisoners awaiting trial escaped from a jail in Srinagar.

The two men escaped from Central Jail Srinagar on August 23, reportedly by scaling the prison’s front-side or outer wall.
Both prisoners were facing separate cases under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.
Police conducted a three-day manhunt, issued lookout notices and announced a reward for information leading to their arrest.
The escape raised security concerns at the high-security jail, which houses around 500 inmates and has been secured by the Central Industrial Security Force since October 2023.
