Kashmir ex-boyfriend sent cocaine parcel to newlywed farmer's home
A man in Kashmir had just gotten married.
Someone secretly sent him a package full of illegal drugs, but the police stopped it at the post office.
The police got a secret tip and found the drugs when the package arrived.

The police talked to his new wife and found out her old boyfriend had planned the whole thing.

J&K Police intercepted a parcel at a Ganderbal post office on August 8 after a tip-off about a narcotics consignment.
The parcel contained four kilograms of cocaine, 80 grams of cannabis and psychotropic drugs, and was couriered from Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, about 1,300 km away.
The intended recipient was a newlywed poultry farmer who believed the parcel contained poultry feed samples promised via WhatsApp.
Police traced the plot to Tariq Ahmad Sofi of Srinagar, his wife's former boyfriend, who allegedly arranged the parcel and tipped off police to frame the farmer.
Sofi was arrested on August 9 and booked under sections 8/20 and 21 of the NDPS Act; police are investigating whether his friend Areeb, the sender in Saudi Arabia, knew about the drugs.
