Odisha Sons Allegedly Declare 70-Year-Old Mother Dead for Property

There is a 70-year-old grandmother named Ayesha Bibi who lives in Bhadrak, Odisha, in India.

She says her two grown-up sons did something very wrong.

While she was away on a trip to a holy place, called a pilgrimage, her sons made papers that said she had died.

Even though she was alive and well, the papers made it look like she was not alive anymore.

Ayesha believes her sons did this so they could take over her property.

When someone is thought to have died, their belongings can be given to family members.

This happened in 2023.

Ayesha is telling her story so people know what she says happened to her.

Officials are now looking into her complaint.
