Sinha Urges IIM Jammu to Build Global Research Identity

IIM Jammu has completed 10 years as a business school.

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha said it should become known for its own special approach to education and research.

He suggested that students and teachers study real business problems in India.

He especially highlighted Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.

He also mentioned border economies, sustainable development and businesses in frontier areas.

The institute’s research has grown from two published papers in 2017 to nearly 350 this year.

IIM Jammu now works with academic institutions in many countries.

Sinha said the school should focus on learning by doing, research and entrepreneurship.

Seven coffee-table books about IIM Jammu were released during the celebration.
