Rail Vikas Nigam Limited, or RVNL for short, is a company that helps build railway projects in India.

Every few months, companies share a report card about their money, called quarterly results.

This report is for the first quarter of the financial year 2026-27, which ended on 30 June 2026.

The company said it made more profit this time — about 18.7 percent more than one year before.

Profit is the money left over after paying all the costs of doing business.

RVNL also earned more money from its work, called revenue, which went up by 10.5 percent.

Its costs went up too, but not as fast as the money it earned.

The company's board members met on 11 August 2026 to approve these numbers.

RVNL also said it closed down one of its subsidiaries in South Africa.

Overall, the news shows the company earned and grew more than it did last year.
