IRCON Profit Falls 44% to ₹92 Crore in Q1 FY27
IRCON International is a company that builds railways and other infrastructure in India.
In the first three months of its new financial year, it earned more money than it did during the same time last year.
But the money it got to keep — called profit — shrank by 44 percent.
One reason is that the company's costs went up by 12 percent.
Another reason is that a business partner it works with lost money instead of making money.
Its profit also fell compared with the last three months of the previous year.
The company also said that the toll collection rights of one of its business partnerships ended on May 14, 2026.
It said it does not think the value of its investment in that partnership is damaged.
So even though IRCON earned more money, it kept less of it as profit.
IRCON International's Q1 FY27 consolidated net profit fell 44% year-on-year to ₹92 crore, from ₹164.1 crore in Q1 FY26.
Revenue from operations rose 9.5% to ₹1,956 crore, from ₹1,786 crore a year earlier.
Sequentially, net profit dropped 52% from ₹191.5 crore in Q4 FY26, while revenue fell 39% from ₹3,189 crore.
Total expenses climbed 12% to ₹1,903 crore, and profit before tax fell 40% to ₹126.8 crore.
The share of joint-venture results turned to a loss of ₹13.36 crore, and toll collection rights of Ircon-Soma Tollway Private Limited ceased on May 14, 2026.
