Indian Coast Guard Begins 29-Storey Worli Residential Complex
The Indian Coast Guard is building a tall residential complex in Worli, Mumbai.
A ceremony was held to mark the start of the project.
Inspector General Bhisham Sharma laid its foundation stone.
The building will have homes for Coast Guard officers and their families.
It will also include rooms for single personnel.
Other facilities will include a dining area, gym, multipurpose hall and officers’ mess.
Parking spaces for 91 vehicles are planned.
The project had been delayed but is now ready to be built.

The 29-storey building will provide single living quarters, married accommodation flats and an officers’ mess.
Planned facilities include a wardroom, dining hall, gymnasium, multipurpose hall and parking for 91 vehicles.
The project was sanctioned in February 2020 but faced administrative and regulatory delays.
The project received a commencement certificate on August 3 after coordination with Maharashtra authorities and the BMC.
