Rajasthan Plans Rs 882 Crore Four-Lane Highway Upgrade
Two important roads in Rajasthan are planned to become wider four-lane highways.
The work will cover about 68 kilometres.
One section will run from Sadhuwali to Banwala, and another will run from Banwala to Hanumangarh.
The roads will also have paved shoulders at the sides.
The National Highways Authority of India has invited companies to bid for the work.
The tender is estimated to cost Rs 882.52 crore.
The larger project was approved by the Centre in August 2026 at a cost of Rs 2,386 crore.
Officials expect the wider roads to reduce traffic and travel time while making journeys safer.
NHAI invited bids worth Rs 882.52 crore for upgrading 68.14 km of highways in Rajasthan.
The project covers 42.9 km of NH-954 between Sadhuwali and Banwala.
It also includes 25.24 km of NH-54 between Banwala and Hanumangarh.
The upgraded corridor will have four lanes and paved shoulders.
The project is intended to ease congestion, reduce travel time, improve safety and strengthen links between Sri Ganganagar and Hanumangarh.
