Yogi Adityanath honours Avantibai Lodhi, sets up women's PAC battalions
There was once a very brave woman named Avantibai Lodhi who fought for India's freedom long ago.
In 1857, she took part in a big uprising and gave her life for the country.
A few days ago, it was the day she was born, 196 years ago.
On this special day, the leader of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, put flowers on her statue to say thank you.
He also spoke about building a new police team in her name.
There will be three new police groups just for women, named after brave women heroes.
Big statues of them on horses will be placed at the police groups.
The leader said the state wants to keep women safe and help them feel brave and independent.
The police force in Uttar Pradesh now has many more women working in it than before.

A new PAC battalion named after Avantibai Lodhi in Budaun district is nearing completion, with her equestrian statue installation in its final stages.
The state is establishing three women's PAC battalions, named after Avantibai Lodhi, Uda Devi Pasi and Jhalkari Bai Kori.
Women's representation in the Uttar Pradesh Police has risen from 10,000 before 2017 to over 45,000 today.
The government has mandated that women constitute 20 per cent of recruitment in the Uttar Pradesh Police.
