The Bar Council of Delhi told a court that there have been 160 cases in the past two years involving fake law degrees.

They said a group of fake lawyers is operating in Delhi, using these fake degrees to get enrolled.

Out of 200,000 lawyers registered, only 100,000 have been checked.

A man named Vasanthan was accused of paying a bribe to get enrolled.

He said he was tricked and that his documents were fake.

The court did not grant him bail, saying more investigation is needed to find out who else is involved in this scam.
