Telangana ACB Arrests GPO, Accomplice in Rs.1.30 Lakh Bribe Case
The Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau investigated a complaint about an alleged bribe.
Officials said GPO Durga Prasad demanded Rs.1.30 lakh.
The money was connected to transferring land into the complainant’s name.
It was also connected to issuing Patta Passbooks.
The complainant was asked to pay Rs.80,000 first.
During the operation, the money was given to Prasad’s alleged accomplice, Pothu Rajender.
ACB officers recovered the money and arrested both men.
The investigation is still continuing.

Officials said Prasad demanded Rs.1.30 lakh for land-transfer validation and Patta Passbook issuance.
The complainant paid Rs.80,000 as the alleged first installment of the bribe.
The money was handed to Rajender and recovered during the ACB trap operation.
A chemical test on Rajender’s hands reportedly turned pink, and the case remains under investigation.
