4 Flyovers To Be Demolished For New ₹4,000-Crore Bridge In Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Sanjay Shirsat · freepressjournal.in

A very long flyover is being planned in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar to help reduce traffic.

It would run from Shendra to Bajaj Nagar.

The project is expected to cost ₹4,000 crore.

Four older flyovers on Jalna Road may need to be removed to build it.

Those older flyovers cost about ₹135 crore to construct.

They were expected to last many decades, but some could be removed after only 10 to 15 years.

Building the new flyover could take three to five years and make traffic worse during construction.

Officials also need to decide how to keep the new structure from covering Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s statue.
