YSRCP Calls for Electoral Roll Verification in Andhra Pradesh
The YSRCP party in India is worried that some people might be listed twice on the voter list in Andhra Pradesh.
They asked the Election Commission to check the list carefully.
A party member, Lella Appi Reddy, wrote letters to the Commission and the state election officer.
In one area called Kuppam, they found over 36,000 possible duplicate names, which is about 16% of the voters there.
The party wants the Commission to investigate right away and give a report on what they do.
YSRCP requests the Election Commission of India to verify electoral rolls across Andhra Pradesh.
Party alleges the presence of duplicate and bogus voter registrations.
General secretary Lella Appi Reddy wrote letters to the ECI and the Andhra Pradesh Chief Electoral Officer.
In Kuppam Assembly constituency, 36,388 suspected duplicate registrations were identified, 16.03% of the electorate.
YSRCP demands an immediate investigation and an Action Taken Report following its representation filed on July 21, 2026.
