IIT Indore built a computer system called HydroVerse AI.

It studies climate and satellite information to predict dangerous weather and farming problems.

These problems can include floods, droughts, heatwaves and stress on crops.

The system can make forecasts for districts across Madhya Pradesh.

It has tested past weather information and future climate projections up to 2040.

Farmers, government officials and disaster teams could use its warnings and advice.

HydroVerse AI was selected as one of the top 11 finalists in a national innovation challenge.

The challenge received more than 150 proposals from across India.

The team hopes the platform can eventually help other states too.
