Direct Delhi-Bhogapuram Flights Set To Boost North Andhra Connectivity
Akasa Air plans to start a direct flight between New Delhi and Bhogapuram Airport.
The service is scheduled to begin on October 25.
A morning flight will travel from Delhi to Bhogapuram.
Another flight will return to Delhi later that morning.
Minister Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu welcomed the decision.
He said the flights will make travel easier for people in North Andhra.
He also said better air links could help tourism, trade and jobs.
The government is working to add more flights and destinations from Bhogapuram Airport.
Akasa Air will launch direct flights between New Delhi and Bhogapuram Airport from October 25.
The Delhi departure is scheduled for 5:55 a.m., arriving in Bhogapuram at 8:20 a.m.
The return flight will leave Bhogapuram at 9:05 a.m. and reach Delhi at 11:30 a.m.
Union civil aviation minister Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu said the service will improve travel options for North Andhra residents.
He said stronger air connectivity could support tourism, trade, employment, investment and economic growth in the region.
