A 56-year-old Seawoods woman allegedly paid ₹1,22,58,000 to a Uttar Pradesh couple over nearly eight years.
The couple allegedly claimed supernatural powers and said black magic threatened the woman’s family.
Police say payments were made through cash, ATM transactions and cheques from September 2017 to April 2025.
The woman allegedly sold gold jewellery, agricultural land and her shop to fund the payments.
NRI Coastal Police booked the accused under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and Maharashtra’s anti-black magic law.
