Indian Embassy in Kathmandu Celebrates 80th Independence Day
India just turned 80 years old as an independent country, and it celebrated this special birthday.
An important Indian office in Nepal, called the Embassy, held a big party in Kathmandu.
People sang patriotic songs like Vande Mataram and the national anthem, and the Indian Ambassador raised the Indian flag.
A very important Indian leader, President Droupadi Murmu, sent a speech that was shown to the crowd.
The Ambassador also gave money to the families of some brave Indian soldiers who had passed away.
There were fun competitions for kids, like painting and quizzes, and the winners got prizes.
The Embassy also gave books to 22 schools and libraries in Nepal to help students learn.
