Jharkhand tightens medical admission verification, fake certificates invite FIR
The government in Jharkhand has made new rules for students who want to join medical colleges.
These rules are meant to stop people from getting in using fake or false documents.
Now, every student's special papers, like caste, income, home-state, and disability certificates, will be checked online.
If a document looks strange, officials will check the original paper copy too.
Special teams have been formed at colleges to look carefully at all documents.
Anyone caught using a fake certificate will lose their seat right away.
They could also face police action, which is serious trouble.
Until all checks are finished, students only get temporary admission, not a final one.
The rules apply to all government and private medical, dental, and traditional medicine colleges in Jharkhand.
The Jharkhand government introduced a new SOP mandating thorough document verification for admissions to medical, dental, and AYUSH colleges.
Candidates found using forged or incorrect certificates face immediate admission cancellation and criminal proceedings, including registration of an FIR.
Domicile, caste, income, and disability certificates will be verified online through designated government portals, with physical checks if needed.
The JCECEB and medical colleges have formed high-level verification committees for MBBS, MD, MS, BDS, MDS, and Ayush courses.
Suspicious documents are referred to district Deputy Commissioners, who must submit reports within 10 working days; final admission is confirmed only after authentication.
