Seethakka Launches Mandal-Level Praja Vani Grievance Cell in Mulugu District

A minister in the Indian state of Telangana started a new kind of office called a grievance cell to help people solve their problems with the government.

Before, people in Mulugu district had to travel far to the district headquarters or to the big city of Hyderabad to ask for help.

Now, they can go to an office much closer to their own town.

The minister told government workers to accept every complaint that people bring.

She also told them to set a deadline for fixing each problem and to explain why if a problem cannot be fixed in time.

Workers must write down people's phone numbers and tell them how long things will take.

Every MPPDO office will get a special help desk where people can ask questions.

The minister also wants workers to visit faraway villages and tribal areas to see problems themselves.

She asked them to collect all pension applications for single women and widows by August 31.

She also announced about 50 crore rupees for fixing roads in some areas of the district.
