NFR Recognises Scouts and Guides at Rajya Puraskar Rally
Northeast Frontier Railway’s Scouts and Guides held a gathering in Maligaon from October 3 to 5, 2026.
The event celebrated members who earned the Rajya Puraskar, also called the Governor’s Award.
It is the highest award of its kind at the state level.
Members qualify by earning badges and passing a five-day test camp.
Five members qualified in 2022–23, 135 in 2023–24 and 181 in 2024–25.
The ceremony included 293 people, such as award winners and district officials.
The group also said its members helped pilgrims, supported flood-affected families and took part in other community activities.
The rally aimed to encourage leadership, teamwork and service.
