Two Arrested for Highway Robbery Near Surlakhedi Bridge in Indore
Some robbers stopped a car on a big highway near a bridge in a city called Indore, in India.
The people in the car had stopped to take photos when the robbers arrived.
The robbers scared them with a knife and hit them with an iron rod.
They took their car and two mobile phones and drove away.
The police worked very hard to find the robbers.
They watched more than 250 camera videos to figure out who did it.
The police caught two men and got the stolen car and phones back.
Those two men had been in trouble with the police before.
Now the police are asking them questions to find out about other crimes.
Indore Rural Police arrested two men, identified as Krish Hokam and Sanjay Bhilala of Shajapur district, in connection with the highway dacoity.
The robbery occurred on the night of August 8 on the NH-3 Bypass Road near Surlakhedi Bridge in the Kshipra area.
Five men threatened complainant Vinod Raghuwanshi and his three friends at knifepoint and beat them with an iron rod while they stopped to take photos.
Police recovered the stolen compact SUV and two mobile phones, and seized a car with a Chhattisgarh registration number used in the crime.
Investigators examined more than 250 CCTV recordings to identify the suspects, both of whom have prior criminal records.
