'AAERI Verify' on Digilocker to enable Indian students for paperless verification for Australia · thehansindia.com

Many students in India want to study in Australia, and Australian universities need to check their school marks, identity cards, and money papers.

In the past, students had to send lots of paper copies, and checking them took a long time.

India has a special digital wallet called DigiLocker that keeps official copies of documents.

Now a new platform called 'AAERI Verify' connects DigiLocker with Australian universities.

Students can share their official documents safely, but only after they give permission.

Australian universities can see the documents straight from the offices that issued them, so fake papers are very hard to pass off.

There are two checks: one before a student applies, and another after they get an admission offer to make sure the money is real.

This makes the process faster, safer, and mostly paper-free.

The platform was launched in New Delhi at a big convention.

More than 72 crore people in India already use DigiLocker.
