APAAR ID will ensure lifelong digital access to students’ academic records: UP minister · theprint.in

The government has a new way to keep school records safe.

Every student gets a special number called an APAAR ID.

This number has 12 digits.

All of the student's school papers and grades get stored in one digital place.

That means a student's school history can be checked quickly and easily on a computer.

It makes it easier to change schools or start at a new school.

Parents must say yes before an ID is made for their child.

A minister in Uttar Pradesh told lawmakers about this plan.

He said the records will be useful for a student's whole academic life.

He said the system will help students for many years.
