The constable was injured on October 13, 2015, during a drunk-driving checkpoint at Pandurangwadi Junction in Goregaon East.
The tribunal found that motorcycle rider Deepak Mahadik allegedly ignored a stop signal and hit the officer.
Police records stated Mahadik had a breath-analyser reading of 212 mg/100 ml and could not produce a driving licence.
Although medical disability was assessed at 38% of the right lower limb, the tribunal calculated 15% whole-body functional disability.
