EIRC Celebrates 50th Regional Conference in Kolkata
The Eastern India Regional Council (EIRC) of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) had a big celebration in Kolkata.
It was their 50th regional conference, and they talked about important things like being honest, helping young people, and making everyone stronger in their jobs.
Lots of people came, more than 4,500, which is a record!
The leaders said that India is really good at technology and that computers can help accountants but can't replace them.
They also said that many women are accountants, and they are doing lots to help students learn.
The event was special because it was good for the environment, certified by the United Nations.
EIRC of ICAI celebrated its 50th regional conference in Kolkata with the theme EYE – ethics, youth, empowerment.
The conference was inaugurated by Snehasis Chakraborty, transport minister, and Hari Mohan Bangur, chairman of Shree Cement Limited.
CA Charanjot Singh Nanda, president of ICAI, noted record participation of over 4,500 members.
ICAI has trained 30,000 members in AI and launched AURA, a dedicated AI course for students.
The event was certified as carbon neutral by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).
