Andhra Pradesh to Fill 913 ASHA Worker Posts Soon
Andhra Pradesh plans to hire 913 community health workers called ASHA workers.
The hiring is meant to ensure there are no empty posts in the State’s health departments.
Health Minister Satya Kumar Yadav announced the plan in Vijayawada.
The workers will be recruited through district health societies.
District Collectors will lead those societies.
Each worker will receive Rs 10,000 every month.
The State will pay Rs 8,320 of that amount, while the Centre will pay the rest.
With these hires, 2,207 ASHA posts will have been filled in two years.
