The Centre will pay ₹1,468.79 crore, and the State will pay ₹979.19 crore.

Much of the money will pay healthcare workers and their salaries.

Other funds will support tuberculosis treatment, vaccinations, free tests, medicines and emergency ambulances.

Money will also help with cancer, diabetes, heart disease, dialysis and care for mothers and newborn babies.

New projects will improve emergency treatment and let people speak with healthcare workers through teleconsultation.

The State has been told to choose the most important programmes because planned activities cost more than the available resources.
